How to correct double blog post on custom blogger template

I was trying to install a new blogger template recently and after uploading the template, i noticed that each blog post appeared twice. i navigated to the layout settings and discovered that the blog body appeard twice. worst of it all, it does not have the option to be removed. this is how i finally fixed it..


Go to the template settings and click the edit html button, click the 'jump to widget' button to display a drop down menu. then locate the widget named blog2 or blog11

copy from where you'll find something like <b:widget id='Blog11'  or <b:widget id='Blog2' till where you'll find the closing tag  </b:widget>. Then hit the  backspace button(delete)
 

congrats! your duplicate blog post is gone! be sure not to delete anything outside what you're being told to unless you know what you're doing or you might render your template invalid. I hope this helps. Have more questions? use the comment box below.
